InsertZ.tml
Converts 2D Sets into Breaklines using spot elevation text
InsertZ.tml will:
- Quickly place elevations along a set by picking text objects
- Takes 2D data and creates a sloping line for a DTM
If you have 2D linework and callout text, you can use Insertz.tml to
create 3D points with the elevation of the callout text by selecting the text then
the point on the set.
In Terramodel, to accomplish the same task without InsertZ.tml,
you will need to convert plines to sets, edit each point of the set and type the
elevation (you can't click on text for the elevation without this TML), and then
edit sets to insert points where convert didn't create them.
How to use InsertZ.tml
After downloading InsertZ.* to the Terramodel installation folder\Terramodel\tmls
folder, open a Terramodel project and type insertz at the command line
and press the < enter > key.
You will see the following:
Pick a set or pline. If you select a pline, it will be converted to a set.
Type an elevation or better yet, pick the elevation text, then pick a point or location
on the set to assign the selected elevation. If a point already exists at the selected
location, the elevation will be assigned. If a location is selected where a point
does not exist, a point will be inserted into the set and the elevation will be
assigned.
Programmer's Note:
Similar to the sloping line command in Sitework.
